This is what I get for being sucked into the momentum of things. Granted it's the day after and since I've been somewhat incommunicado this month, it won't be that much news to anyone that I've decided not to deal with Xmas at all this year. A lot of it had to do with wanting some sufficient time to recover from the last term and get myself organized in preparation for the New Year. This meant finally rearranging my room (and discovering bits of water damage that needs to be reported), getting my workspace set-up and going through the annoying process of actually having to plan out the next year. Under normal circumstances, this is something I loathe having to do. Unfortunately, when done correctly, it DOES however make sure that certain things actually transpire granted it's thoroughly annoying when other things and opportunities emerge that can't be seized simply because you're in the middle of working towards something else. This is probably why I would like to lead other lives simultaneously, but of course, with the perception of time perceived linearly (and I guess ultimately unilaterally), you can't help but literally drive yourself schizophrenically insane after awhile. Hence my preference to keep these kinds of planning and micromanaging to short-term goals rather than longer-term ones.
So... travel, music, and my current longest-term goal: working towards the goal of being able to convince a European country to allow me to stay there indefinitely.

So I'm going to post and recall things as they come rather than put some chronological chain of events in order. I'd also do that meme by taking the first sentence of the first post of each month but considering I haven't been posting as regularly, not to mention that most of the posts this year have been kind of bitchy/moany (granted I DID have a close friend of mine kill himself), I'd rather not. Instead, there will be less bitchy/moany and hopefully more interesting. I'm also noticing that for some reason, LiveJournal's format makes it difficult to blog on other topics so I've been thinking about starting an additional one on Blogspot (one that would require posting regular links and pictures) granted we'll see on how organized I can make myself write and post things of interest on a regular basis. That blog would probably focus more on my musings on music, art, etc. rather than my mundane, everyday things. Again, we'll see. I seem to have no trouble at all keeping myself busy as of late. The next term starts on the 4th. More Stats. More Russian. And some more abnormal psychology. Yippee. I get to memorize symptoms and warning signs for identifying various mental disorders next month. Me thinks with my rental history and work history, I'll probably have no trouble with that...
